Prof. Abstreiter is the initiator and founder of the Walter Schottky Institute as well as the Center for Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials (ZNN) at TU München and has over 650 publications in subjects ranging from experimental semiconductor physics, structural and optoelectronic properties of nanostructures, epitaxy of hetero- and nanostructures, self-assembly and self-organisation of quantum dots and nanowires as well as novel semiconductor nano-device techologies.

Coffee is served from 15:00.

The Colloquium host is Mats-Erik Pistol.
Prof. Abstreiter is the opponent of Neimantas Vainorius who will defend his thesis November 3.
