Welcome to a Nanoscience for Dummies seminar by Aboma Merdasa entitled "Super-resolution Microscopy in Material Science - Resolving Material Properties at a Nanoscale" on Thursdag November 30, 2017 at 15:15 in k-space (Q179), Department of Physics, Lund.

Description: Super-resolution microscopy has become a pillar within the life sciences where intra-cellular live process have been studied and provided a deeper understanding of mechanisms that have otherwise been hidden due to the light diffraction limit. In material science there is a desire to understand properties of functional materials (such as the light absorber in solar cells), which can be done by probing spectral properties at a nanoscale. In this talk I will demonstrate how super-resolution microscopy can be combined with spectroscopy to acquire such information.

Coffee and cake from 15:00.
