Research:

I am a PhD4Energy fellow (http://www.phd4energy.lu.se/about-the-project/) working in Christelle N. Prinz group (www.nano.lu.se/christelle.prinz). My PhD project is focused on nanowire safety with the aim to understand how III-V semiconductor nanowires, used in optoeletronic devices (solar cells and LEDs), interact with human lung cells. I am studying exposure routes and effects using traditional cell-exposure systems, confocal and fluorescent microscopies, as well as nanofabrication (including epitaxial nanowire growth) methods.
In the future I should work on nanowire exposure by inhalation while depositing nanowires on air-liquid lung cell interfaces.
I collaborate with other PhD students and groups developing nanodevices for energy at the Nanosafety community within Nanometer Structure Consortium and PhD4Energy projects.
