John Phillips from LU Research Services teaching the tricks of how to write the perfect CV.

This year we are organising support activities on how to write a competitive proposal for an ERC grant. And we are happy to see so many taking part in the first workshop with a deep-dive into the finer points of how to effectively present and position yourself as the PI of a high-impact research grant.

Researchers from NanoLund are welcome to participate in support activities on how to write a competitive proposal for an ERC grant (Starting, Advanced, Consolidator, or Synergy Grants). These support activities are directly aimed at developing ERC applications; however, the content is designed to be transferable to other large, excellence-focused grants.

The ERC Proposal support has been developed in collaboration with LU Research Services and the LU Profile Area Nature-based Future Solutions, together with the LU strategic research areas BECC and MERGE.

The support consists of  four different workshops:

  • CV workshop
  • Writing retreat – to develop a draft proposal (7 April, at 9.00-15.00. Sign up by email to cerina [dot] rydalv [at] cec [dot] lu [dot] se (Cerina Rydälv))
  • A pitch session – for experienced panel members and grantees (fully booked)
  • Learning how to use generative AI in research applications (11 May, at 9.00-12.00. Sign up by email to cerina [dot] rydalv [at] cec [dot] lu [dot] se (Cerina Rydälv))

All applicants are also offered individual follow-up meetings with LU Research Services.
