Three seminars about X-rays and magnetism
We will have three interesting seminars in connection with the PhD defense of Susanna Hammarberg:
- Gema Martinez Criado, Director of Research at the ESRF synchrotron, Grenoble, France: “Extremely bright source (EBS): New scientific opportunities”
- Thomas Cornelius, Marseille, France, “Nanoscale imaging of strain and defects in functional materials using synchrotron X-ray diffraction techniques”
- Dominik Kriegner, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague: “Anomalous Hall effect in a new class of compensated magnets”
There’s no strict program, but each talk will be about 30 min including questions.
The seminars will be held in the Physics department, in k-space (Q179). Please enter the Physics department in one of the open doors near the reception in the central part, and find your way to the South part, ground floor (Solid State Physics).
If you are interested in meeting any of the speakers, please contact Jesper Wallentin. Feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested.
You’re of course also very welcome to Susanna Hammarberg’s PhD defense with the title “Strain Mapping of Single Nanowires using Nano X-ray Diffraction”, on June 2nd at 09:15 in the Rydberg hall.
