Research:
Separation of bacteria clusters using deterministic lateral displacement.
My name is Elham Akbari, and I am a Ph.D. student in biophysics at Lund University, department of physics, in the Tegenfeldt research group. My Ph.D. project is about the separation of bacteria clusters of group A streptococci based on their physical properties by microfluidic channels and deterministic lateral displacement method. During my master's at the Amirkabir University of Technology, I worked on the fabrication of a hydrogel-based drug delivery system for the sustained release of hyaluronic acid.
