Nanothermodynamics meeting: Hot-carrier extraction in InAs/InP nanowire
Jonatan, Yen-Po and Yang Chen will give a brief summary of their project on separating hot carriers in InAs nanowires by extracting energetic electrons over InP barriers, where the long-term goal is to evaluate whether this could be a good candidate system for a hot carrier photovoltaic device.
- Jonatan will give a brief look back on what we have done so far in the project and discuss the systems we want to study in the future.
- Yen-Po will present a scanning probe microscope setup capable of simultaneous scanning photo-current and scanning gate mapping (SGM), and discuss how we are using it within the project.
- Yang-Chen will show how drift-diffusion modeling is applied to study the band diagram where SGM tip is applied close to the nanowire surface, as well as carrier concentration.
