NanoLund is headed by a Board that has the overall responsibility for the centre, decides on the allocation of funds, makes decisions about membership, and defines strategy and priorities.

The Dean of LTH, after consultation with the Dean of the Faculty of Science and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, appoints the members, chair, and vice-chair of the NanoLund Board. The chair of the board is appointed from the researchers/teacher representatives. The student representatives are appointed in the order stipulated in Section 7 of the Student Union Ordinance (2009:769).
